Fashion miss bimbo advent calendar3/31/2023 Why would she throw away her sketch book just because her boss said no to them. Lead actress was cute and could act but why would her character choose to be with someone like him?! She's smart, talented, successful and well put together and she's gonna choose this lame?! No. Total skeeve! He's been a playboy his entire life and all of a sudden he's gonna change his ways for this rando assistant? No. Also the lead is totally inappropriate at work and outside of work (he can't wait until Monday to go over made up stuff? He has her meet him on Sunday and she just does it!!! She should've told him he could wait) He was a whacko who harassed her plain and simple. That's just a glaring budgetary issue-they couldn't even afford to change the actors or the scenery around for a different restaurant. And speaking of that restaurant-they go to the same one throughout the entire movie. Kissing someone without their permission is sexual assault but she just lets him do it?! Going to a bar just to get intel on the woman you're harassing?! The other bartender should've been fired for sharing personal details like that. I can't believe he is still finding work. What's up with being shirtless all the time? You could tell this actor thinks he's totally hot but he isn't. He had a poochy stomach that was so gross. He had a brown incisor and an underbite that was distracting. Looked more like a goofy doofus than hot. It became apparent that this was basically one long commercial for Kay Jewelers so that all the woman out there watching this can berate their boyfriends (who will never in a million years act or say the ridiculously scripted things the male lead says to the female lead) into buying them the Leo Diamond. Not even going to explain the plot I'm just gonna get into issues I have with this film. So this film tried to capitalize on the previous Christmas Kiss film which actually wasn't terrible but this one failed miserably. I gave this the worst rating allowable out of principle, but if you remove the unacceptable parts, the movie has potential. Too bad the movie didn't spend more time on making those things flow better and less time with inappropriate criminal behavior. Towards the end, a lot of things are rushed. Possibilities? As in so many of these movies, several characters' feelings turn 180 degrees far too quickly - Jenna, Mia, Dad. In so many movies, the opposite gender BFF turns out to be "the one". In this case her dad is a villain every bit as cruel as Mz Hall is in Kiss 1 (interesting that she is a common denominator in the two movies.) There was a bit of mystery for me because her BFF is the man who lives next door. Mia is actually not a villain for a boss. But even in that there is uncertainty in Jenna's feelings even though she is clearly saying no. As I said, at first the tension is negative. If Cooper does not cross the line, this is actually a nice love story and Elisabeth Harnois and Adam Mayfield have chemistry. Admittedly the movie was made in 2014, but that doesn't mean it needs to be shown. This genre of movies needs to clean up it's double standard. So I hope the moral of this movie is NOT that sexual harassment is OK if the girl eventually gives in willingly. Mia even verbally acknowledges the inappropriate behavior in front of both Cooper and Jenna. He has a cavalier attitude toward everything. He continues to ignore Jenna's refusals over and over. He listens in on what is obviously a private and sensitive phone conversation. He effectively, if not technically, steals documents from her. In addition, Cooper invades Jenna's privacy repeatedly. And this is a textbook definition of sexual harassment. At first it is tension with an underlying hint of threat even if no threat is unintended. The sexual tension he is giving of can be cut with a knife. Jenna clearly shows that she is uncomfortable with Cooper's attention. The first half or more of this movie is pure and blatant sexual harassment. I frankly cannot believe that any television network would be this irresponsible. (OK so that's not how it ends.) This movie appeared on Ion television in December 2017, well after dozens, if not hundreds, of women stepped forward to resist and abolish sexual harassment and abuse in the workplace especially entertainment. Meanwhile Mia is a waitress in a diner and Cooper rides a garbage truck. She gained full control of Trend and sold it. Here is the real ending of this movie: Jenna, after hiring a big time lawyer, is now relaxing on a beach in Fiji where she has one of her 10 homes throughout the world.
